Organized by the Diabetic Foot Salvage Egyptian Foundation & Egyptian Medical Syndicate, this program provides a structured pathway in diabetic foot care.
Part A – Foundations (52 weeks)
• Open to medical graduates (≥3 years post-graduation)
• 60 hours: 30 theoretical + 30 clinical
• Includes lectures, journal clubs, M&M meetings, workshops
Part B – Advanced Limb Salvage (65 weeks)
• Open only to postgraduates (MRCS, MRCP, Master’s, Diploma)
• 135 hours: 65 theoretical + 70 clinical
• Surgical & non-surgical tracks with hands-on exposure
Graduates will gain internationally recognized certification in advanced diabetic limb salvage.6

بفضل الله سبحانه وتعالى، وانطلاقًا من المسؤولية المهنية والوطنية لمجلس الإدارة في دعم وتطوير منظومة التعليم الطبي المستمر، تم إنشاء وتفعيل الدبلومة المهنية المتخصصة وفق رؤية علمية راسخة تستند إلى أعلى المعايير الأكاديمية والمهنية المعتمدة.
تهدف الدبلومة إلى ترسيخ مفاهيم التشخيص المبكر والعلاج الممنهج
باستخدام أحدث البروتوكولات العلمية المصرية والعالمية،
بما يسهم في إنقاذ مرضى القدم السكري والحد من معدلات البتر،
مع تعزيز منظومة الحماية القانونية لكلٍ من المريض والطبيب.
وقد اجتاز الجزء الأول من الدبلومة (العلوم الأساسية لإصابات القدم السكري) عشرة أطباء مصريين وطبيبة واحدة سودانية، بعد استكمال ٥٢ ساعة تدريبية معتمدة واجتياز امتحانات تحريرية وشفوية أمام لجان علمية متخصصة تضم نخبة من أساتذة جامعتي القاهرة وعين شمس ووزارة الصحة.
كما شارك أربعة من أعضاء هيئة التمريض في برنامج تدريبي متخصص، تأكيدًا على دورهم المحوري ضمن منظومة الرعاية الصحية المتكاملة.
ويؤكد مجلس الإدارة التزامه المستمر بتطوير البرامج المهنية المتخصصة التي تسهم في رفع كفاءة الكوادر الطبية وتعزيز جودة الخدمات الصحية المقدمة.
Message from the Board
By the grace of Almighty God, and in fulfillment of the Board’s professional and national responsibility to advance continuing medical education, this Specialized Professional Diploma has been established and activated in accordance with the highest recognized academic and professional standards.
The diploma promotes early diagnosis and structured, evidence-based
management of diabetic foot conditions through the application of
the latest Egyptian and international scientific protocols,
contributing to reduced amputation rates and enhanced legal
protection for both patients and physicians.
The first module, Basic Sciences of Diabetic Foot Injuries, was successfully completed by ten Egyptian physicians and one Sudanese physician following 52 accredited training hours and comprehensive written and oral examinations conducted by expert committees representing Cairo University, Ain Shams University, and the Ministry of Health.
In addition, four nursing professionals completed a dedicated training program, underscoring their essential role within an integrated and safe healthcare system.
The Board remains committed to advancing high-impact professional education initiatives that strengthen healthcare quality and patient outcomes.
